Audience Follow Mode
Enable your audience to follow your presentation on their own devices.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Follow mode provides a companion view for audience members, syncing their devices with your presentation. Perfect for large venues, hybrid events, or when audience members want the content on their personal screens.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”When you enable follow mode, audience members can:
- View the current slide on their own device
- Switch languages if translations are available
- Participate in interactive elements (polls, Q&A)
- Access the presentation after you’re done
Sharing the Follow Link
Section titled “Sharing the Follow Link”Getting the Link
Section titled “Getting the Link”- Start presenting your presentation
- Click Share > Follow Link
- Copy the short URL
Link Format
Section titled “Link Format”Follow links use short codes for easy sharing:
https://your-instance.com/f/ABCDFour-letter codes are easy to type and remember.
Sharing Methods
Section titled “Sharing Methods”Verbally:
“Join at [your-domain]/f/ABCD”
On a slide: Add a “Follow Invite” slide with:
- The URL
- QR code
- Instructions
Via chat/email: Share the link in your meeting chat or event materials.
QR Code Sharing
Section titled “QR Code Sharing”Display a QR code that audience members can scan to join.
Displaying QR Code
Section titled “Displaying QR Code”- Click Share > Show QR Code
- QR code appears on screen
- Audience scans with phone camera
- Follow view opens automatically
On Slides
Section titled “On Slides”Use the Follow Invite slide type:
- Add a new slide
- Select Follow Invite type
- QR code and link are automatically included
- Customize the message

QR Code Tips
Section titled “QR Code Tips”- Make it large enough to scan from the back
- Leave on screen for at least 30 seconds
- Consider showing at the start
- Show again before interactive elements
Language Switching
Section titled “Language Switching”For multi-language presentations:
Audience Language Selection
Section titled “Audience Language Selection”- Audience joins via follow link
- Click the language selector
- Choose preferred language
- All content switches to that language
Available Languages
Section titled “Available Languages”Only languages with translations appear:
- Primary language always available
- Translated languages shown as options
- Partial translations show what’s available
Real-time Translation
Section titled “Real-time Translation”If live translation is running:
- Translated content appears as it’s ready
- Audience sees content in their language
- Slides stay in sync with presenter
Interaction Participation
Section titled “Interaction Participation”When you show a Poll or Likert slide:
- Audience sees the answer buttons or a slider
- They tap to vote; voting again changes their vote
- Results update live on the slide
- You open, close or reset voting from the presenter view

While Q&A is enabled:
- Audience asks and upvotes questions in the Q&A panel
- Questions appear in the notes view, ranked by votes
- You can add a question to the deck as a slide
- Audience sees which questions will be addressed

Feedback
Section titled “Feedback”For feedback slides:
- Audience types an open answer
- You see the number of responses in the presenter view
- You download the answers as CSV before the session ends

- Allow review - Viewers can browse slides
- Lock - Viewers see “Presentation ended”
- Redirect - Send to a thank-you page

- How many joined
- When they joined/left
- Interaction participation
- Language preferences

- Go to presentation settings
- Find Follow Mode
- Toggle on/off
Code Regeneration
Section titled “Code Regeneration”Create new follow codes:
- Go to Share > Follow Settings
- Click Generate New Code
- Old codes stop working
- Share the new code
Access Control
Section titled “Access Control”Limit who can join:
- Anyone with link - Open access
- Require email - Collect viewer emails
- Password protected - Add a password
Technical Details

Section titled “Rate Limits”Follow codes are protected:
- 10 code creations per hour per IP
- 60 code resolutions per hour per IP
- Prevents abuse
Bandwidth
Section titled “Bandwidth”Follow mode is efficient:
- Minimal data transfer
- Works on slow connections
- Progressive image loading

- All modern smartphones
