Image Export
Export the slides of a presentation as PNG images, one by one or together in a ZIP file.
How to Export
Section titled “How to Export”
- Open your presentation in the editor
- Click Export in the top bar. On a narrow window the button moves into the ⋯ menu
- If the deck has more than one language version, choose the language at the top of the Export to file dialog
- If the deck has more than one slide and you want a ZIP of only some of them, choose the slides under Which slides
- On the PNG row under Slides, choose:
- ZIP to download the chosen slides at once
- View to open a page with every slide, where you can download them one at a time
There is no keyboard shortcut for image export and no export entry in the slide list’s right-click menu.
Slides as a ZIP
Section titled “Slides as a ZIP”ZIP renders the chosen slides on the server. A progress window counts the slides and has a Cancel button; when it is done, the browser downloads one ZIP file. The images inside are named slide-01.png, slide-02.png and so on, in slide order. That numbering counts the images in the ZIP, so slides 3 and 5 of a deck arrive as slide-01.png and slide-02.png.
Which Slides
Section titled “Which Slides”Which slides starts on All slides. It is left out of the dialog when the deck has only one slide, and it applies to ZIP only: View always shows the whole deck.
- Current slide exports the slide open in the editor
- Selection exports the slide numbers and ranges you type, such as
1,3-5. The field starts with the slides selected in the slide list, or otherwise the current slide
Numbers are positions in the deck, and the images stay in deck order whatever order you type. The ZIP’s file name gains -slide-03 for one slide or -slides-1_3-5 for more. A number past the last slide, or a selection with nothing left to export, gets an error below the choice and no file.
One Slide at a Time
Section titled “One Slide at a Time”View opens a page in a new tab with a thumbnail of every slide. From there you can:
- Click Download slide N under a thumbnail to download that slide as a PNG
- Click Download all PNGs to download every slide as a ZIP
- Pick the resolution in the scale selector before downloading
Resolution
Section titled “Resolution”Slides are rendered from the 1600 × 900 slide canvas:

The images are always PNG with the slide’s own background. There are no options for JPEG, transparency or file naming.
What’s Included
Section titled “What’s Included”- The chosen slides in the chosen language, as they look in Deckyard
- Follow-along invite slides are left out, because they only mean something during a live session
- Slides with an empty image are left out. Before the dialog opens, Deckyard names those slides and asks whether to continue
Direct URLs
Section titled “Direct URLs”PNG export is not part of the public API. The View page and the ZIP button use these editor URLs, which work while you are signed in to Deckyard in the same browser:

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Images Look Blurry
Section titled “Images Look Blurry”Use scale 2 or 3, and check that the source images on the slide are high resolution.
A Slide Is Missing
Section titled “A Slide Is Missing”Check Which slides in the dialog first. Otherwise, check whether it is a follow-along invite slide or a slide whose image is still empty; both are left out on purpose.
